OML members have attended the Eurasia Cycling Trip which is a parallel amateur event to the professional Presidential Cycling Tour 2013. The trip starts from the Yahya Kemal Park located in Besiktas Barbaros Avenue, passes through the Bosphorus Bridge, and finishes at Caddebostan Park. The whole cycling trip took 65 kilometers, which includes cycling from Koc University campus to start line of the Eurasia Cycling Trip, and from the finish line of the Eurasia Cycling Trip to Koc University campus. We congratulate all OML cyclist; Prof. Hakan Ürey, his beloved wife Ece Aydoğdu, Erhan Ermek, Fehmi Civitci, his fiance Neşe Alyüz, Osman Eldeş, and his brother Süleyman Eldeş.
A new paper on stereoscopic displays is recently published on OSA/IEEE’s Journal of Display Technology. The paper introduces Merck young scientist award winning mixed polarization technique. The work is made possible through collaboration in between Microvision, Inc. and our laboratory. For the publication, see the link in below:
Merck Advanced Technologies, the Korean affiliate of Germany-based chemical and pharmaceutical company Merck KGaA, announced Thursday the winners of its “Merck Award” and “Merck Young Scientist Award” during the 2012 International Meeting of Information at Daegu EXCO.
PhD student Kaan Akşit and M.Sc. student Osman Eldeş presented OML in the meeting. The paper from OML entitled as “Mixed polarization 3D Technique for Scanned Laser Pico Projector Displays” was awarded for Merck Grand Award. The young scientist award was given by his excellency, Merck group’s president, Mr. Jürgen König.
